A Nightmare on Elm Street One SheetFreddy’s Favorites – Added to Collection Archive
In the early 1980’s, a psychopath named Freddy Krueger – known as the Springwood Slasher – murdered several children with a glove outfitted with straight razor blades attached to the fingers. When a foolish decision by a judge sets him free, Krueger is burned alive in the boiler room where he worked by an angry mob of the parents whose children he terrorized & murdered. Years after his death, the children whose parents were responsible for Krueger’s death – including Nancy Thompson, daughter of the police officer who arrested Krueger – are experiencing terrifying nightmares involving a burned man wearing a glove with razor blades on the fingers. The ghost of Freddy Krueger is haunting their dreams, and when Nancy’s best friend Tina dies in her sleep violently during a dream confrontation with Krueger, Nancy realizes she must find a way to stop the evil psychopath’s reign of terror – or never sleep again…

Weird Science

Weird Science One SheetWeird Science – Added to Collection Archive
Two teenage nerds in Shermer, Illinois, Gary Wallace (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt Donnelly (Ilan Mitchell-Smith), unpopular and unable to meet girls on their own, use Wyatt’s computer to design the perfect woman. Lacking enough computing power, they hack into a US Government mainframe and use its power to create a computer simulation of “the perfect woman” in order to place her in “real life sexual situations” and see how she reacts. A bizarre electrical storm (à la Frankenstein, their inspiration) follows, and they find themselves unable to shut the computer off.

Mysteriously, the result is “Lisa” (Kelly LeBrock), a real-life woman (who emerges from a red fog in the bathroom). She is a sexed-up but kind-hearted “80’s babe” with Einstein’s IQ, David Lee Roth’s attitude and inexplicable supernatural powers. Self-aware from the moment of her creation, Lisa sets about revealing their inner coolness, transforming Gary and Wyatt from nerds into men through a series of wacky and bizarre adventures. Using her magic powers, she takes them to a blues club, confronts Wyatt’s domineering older brother Chet (Bill Paxton), and throws a giant party at Wyatt’s upscale home. In the end, the boys get no sex from their mentor, but are seemingly on the path to a relationship with two cute girls their own age.

The Heavenly Kid

March 31, 2009 at 12:45 am (Collection Archive) (, , , , )

The Heavenly Kid One SheetThe Heavenly Kid – Added to Collection Archive
The story starts out showing a young greaser-type rebel, Bobby (Lewis Smith) racing a rival toward the edge of a cliff in a game of chicken. Bobby apparently wins as his rival “chickens” out by diving out of the car before Bobby does. Bobby is unable to get out of the car in time and due to his bracelet getting caught on a gearshift dies in a fiery accident as his car falls over the cliff. Following a strange trip, Bobby learns from his new spirit guide Rafferty (Richard Mulligan) that he needs to earn his ticket “Uptown” by acting as a Guardian angel for nerdy Lenny Barnes. Bobby tries to help Lenny by giving him a makeover and attempting to help him win the affection of the hottest girl in school, Sharon. However, Bobby eventually realizes that the new lifestyle Lenny is leading is not noble, as it causes him to rebel against everyone including his parents. In doing so, Bobby eventually realizes that Lenny’s mother (Jane Kaczmarek) is his former girlfriend and is married to the man he died racing against. Bobby breaks one of the Uptown rules and reveals himself to Lenny’s mother. Bobby then learns that he is actually Lenny’s father. In a scene reminiscent of the opening sequence Lenny has a car race against Sharon’s former boyfriend. Much like Bobby’s car race, the race ends with Lenny and Bobby flying over the edge off cliff and the car exploding in a fiery wreck. However, Bobby helps prevent Lenny from dying and they climb up the cliff together. Bobby helps Lenny realize the error of his ways as he reunites with his former girlfriend who was by his side even during his “nerdy years”. They then watch Bobby and Rafferty fly into the sky on a motorbike, and Bobby eventually does go on the escalator to Uptown.
